At Khmu Connections, our mission is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the Khmu people while fostering pride within the community. Our new, Khmu Cultural Experience Tour provides visitors with an opportunity to engage deeply with Khmu traditions through immersive, hands-on activities. Guests participate in rice farming, bamboo weaving, music, dance and additional activities gaining firsthand knowledge of practices that have been passed down through generations. By creating a space for cultural exchange and shared understanding, the program supports both cultural continuity and mutual appreciation between visitors and the Khmu people.
Directions to Khmu Connections
Khmu Connections is located approximately 3 km from Luang Prabang.
Travellers will need to cross the Mekong River by ferry and then travel 10 minutes on the main road. You will see a gas station on the left.
Travel for another 100 metres on an unsealed road until you see a ‘Khmu Connections’ sign. Follow the directions.
Alternatively, you can be collected from the ferry and transported to our venue. Transportation costs to and from Khmu Connections to travellers’ accomodation in Luang Prabang is included in all tour costs.
