Full Day Program:

Tour will depart from your accommodation in Luang Prabang. You will travel with your local guide to the ferry, in order  to cross the Mekong River to Chomphet District.

You then proceed towards the  remote Khmu villages in the mountainous, rural area of Chomphet District. 

You will then reach the village of Houy Yor, where very few tourists visit. You will be amazed to observe the simple way that these people live in harmony with nature.

Your guide will take you for a walk around the village and you will visit the local school, where you have the opportunity to donate some books, pens or pencils to the students. These children have very few resources and any assistance are greatly appreciated. (You can purchase such items at one of the local markets, before your tour).

At these remote villages you can observe tribal culture and learn about family life in the countryside. These villages are largely untouched by the outside world, hence, their authenticity.

Later in the day you will visit a pottery village where you can experience the traditional craft, witness pottery being made by hand in ancient methods, and purchase affordable pottery.
